Mallard Consulting Overview

The Accelerated Turbine Start concept of lighting the boiler with all governor valves fully open was initially developed by Richard Mallard.  Richard retired from the Jacksonville Electric Authority (JEA) [https://jea.com] in 1996 and incorporated as [Mallard Consulting Company] (MCC).  MCC is still a legally incorporated company, but merged "business practices" with Synterprise Solutions LLC in 2011, specifically to enhance the capability and bandwidth to implement Accelerated Start Programs.

After the "business practices" merge of Mallard and [Synterprise], the name ATS (Accelerated Turbine Start), was changed to AUS (Accelerated Unit Start).  All projects are run by the lead company Synterprise.  Richard Mallard participates in the projects as an 'implementation" engineer.

Documentation about program details are somewhat guarded.  Web documentation on the Synterprise Web site includes
